Kevin Michael Chong is an Orange County–based drummer and percussionist whose career bridges live performance, touring, recording, and multimedia production. Born in Hollywood, CA, his musical journey began at the age of eight at his local church in South Gate, California. Over time, Kevin developed a versatile musical foundation spanning Pop, Gospel, Latin, CCM, Country, Rock, and Indie music. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Drum Performance from Shepherd University’s Cornel School of Contemporary Music, where he studied from 2014–2017.

Over the years, Kevin’s career has taken him from intimate church platforms and recording drums on three of Influence Music’s albums—Long Live The King - Live At The Grove, Day & Night, and One True God—to national tours, major festivals, Disney California Adventure, and some of the world’s most prominent stages. In 2026, he performed as a plenero alongside Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium—one of the defining performances of his career.

Kevin has toured as drummer for Latin music icon Ana Bárbara and has performed or recorded with an extensive roster of artists, including Becky G, Leona Lewis, Yahritza Y Su Esencia, Simu Liu, AJ Rafael, Inigo Pascual, NEZZA, Influence Music, Kim Walker-Smith, Sean Feucht, Victoria “La Mala,” and many more. His work reflects an ability to move seamlessly between artists, genres, and musical environments while bringing the same level of preparation and musicianship to every performance.

When not on tour, Kevin remains active throughout Southern California’s live entertainment scene, working with corporate entertainment and production agencies including Clear Audio Solutions, Crowd Theory Entertainment, West Coast Music, Collective Music, and Blitz Nation.

Beyond music, Kevin has expanded his creative work into visual storytelling. As a content creator, recreational drone pilot, and video editor, he produces behind-the-scenes content, performance recaps, social media content, and multimedia stories centered around his experiences on and off the stage. He also co-hosts the Chad & Chong Podcast, exploring conversations around music, performance, production, creativity, and everything in between.
